Welcome to First grade with Miss Smith!
I am looking forward to a great year with all of you! This page should be a great resource for parents, students, and visitors!
We will go over everything you need to know on the first day of class, but I am putting our classroom rules here as a reminder.
We have a outstanding year ahead of us! Throughout the year, I will use this webpage to announce what we will do in class each day, a list of assignments, and a detailed schedule for every two weeks. I hope this will help students stay on top of all of their work and let parents become aware of what we are doing in the classroom. If a student misses class, they will be able to see what we did and hopefully get a head start on making up their work (students who are absent from school due to sickness with a doctor's note will have more time to make up work). In addition, if a student forgets a worksheet at school, they can pull up the page on that day's activities and print out the assignment so they do not receive a late grade. Students can also post questions and another student or myself can answer it.
I hope this site will encourage learning and help everyone to have a better school year!
